Summer 2025
It may be the holiday season but we’re continuing to support businesses right through. Read on to find out what we’ve been up to, and how we solve problems for our clients.


June 2025
During the month of June, we have continued to support clients with recruitment and so far over 50% of vacancies have been filled, and we have a number that are at the final interview stage. We anticipate once these final stage interviews are completed, we will have nearly 100% of vacancies advertised in June filled. Our recruitment packages offer flexibility for our clients, as they can choose how much involvement they would like from our side.


June 2025
At our mid-year review, Lynn shared an update on the admin support team, where we support some clients with a full outsourced HR service, or other clients that require occasional admin support.
The Admin Support Team have so far this year issued salary review letters, and over 145 contracts, more than 100 contract amendments and over 75 job offers. A total of 49 recruitment projects have been successfully closed year to date. The team have undergone training on topics such as holiday calculations, dashboard usage, and how to conduct HR system demonstrations. Although Breathe HR is our preferred software model, we have clients that use other systems, and our team are multi-skilled on all of these platforms. This reflects our focus on providing efficient, high-quality administrative support that enables our clients to operate effectively.


June 2025
Our HR team have been extremely busy across the month of June. Work has continued across both retainer and non-retainer clients, covering a range of matters including an ongoing whistleblowing case and the completion of a disciplinary process. It has also involved supporting ongoing restructure meetings, concluding various disciplinary cases, welfare meetings and completing site visits.
We have also been providing advice in relation to a potential redundancy situation. This demonstrates our continued commitment to delivering responsive, tailored HR support to meet the needs of our clients. We have seen some of our team on holiday during the month of June, but due to the depth of our team, we have been ensured our client delivery has been as high as non-holiday months. This is essential for our clients as they require quick responses to their HR needs.
We continue to solve problems for our clients, and this has included various grievances, certificate of sponsorship licence applications, long-term sick and managing general day to day case management.


June 2025
Marketing support for clients has remained a key focus throughout the month of June. Activities include the management of social media channels, ensuring our clients maintain a strong online presence, supporting internal communications such as company newsletters, and video content creation, to showcase the great work going on behind the scenes of our clients.

We also held a mid-year review at Cluny Activities, where Alistair shared a business update and progress year to date on our KPIs and what’s coming up. John shared some case studies to enhance our knowledge and Lynn provided an update on the Admin Support Team. It was great to have the team together and we also enjoyed lunch and a game of crazy golf – well done John on winning the title!

Congratulations to Rachel who recently celebrated her two-year anniversary with The HR Booth! Rachel joined back in 2023 as an HR Advisor and is now working as part of the HR Consultants team.
Rachel supports clients with a range of topics such as employee case management, grievances and policy & handbook reviews. Thanks for all that you do Rachel!

We received an award for reaching Platinum status at the Breathe Partner Summit! We are delighted that we have reached this milestone. We use Breathe on a daily basis and it really is an essential tool for us. We’re glad that many of our clients are also of this view!

We have been nominated for the Breathe HR Partner of the Year Award! This is a testament to the hard work our team have put in over the last year! Chloe from our team will be heading down this Thursday for the Partner Summit.

Rennie and Calum attended the Kelty Hearts FC Sponsors Night. We’ve have a sponsorship board at New Central Park and one of the perks is being able to attend nights like this, hosted by Andrew Guild. To top it off, we won a signed shirt in the business card raffle, which will look great on the wall in our office!

Our HR Consultant, Claire celebrated four years as part of The HR Booth team! Claire joined the team in 2021 and has progressed into a key and well-liked member of our team. Congratulations, Claire!

Last week, we took a trip down to our local bowling alley for our annual tournament. It was great to get together as a team outside work. Congratulations Alistair for taking the title of The HR Booth bowling Champion 2025.

Alistair was a guest speaker at the Big Networking Event held by A G Virtual Assist. It was a fantastic event and generated a real community spirit amongst the room.

Rennie and Alistair visited Beath High School to present to a group of S4 & S5 students on the benefits of apprenticeships. It was great to hear the variety of career options available to the pupils, and the different career paths they are hoping to go down!
