Meet Ann, Our HR Advisor

We’re excited to introduce you to our new HR Advisor, Ann Brown. Ann joined the team last week and has fitted in perfectly already. As our HR Advisor, Ann will support our clients with every aspect of HR. Find out how Ann’s first week has gone:

My experience in HR

My first experience of HR was while I was working as Team Manager in the Bank of Scotland contact centre in Dundee. I worked with the central HR department dealing with numerous staff cases and I was impressed with the way in which they dealt with staff.

After a period working as supply in schools after I was made redundant by the Bank I moved to become HR Administrator with Dundee University Students Association. I love working with people and this seemed like a good move for me. We had a mix of permanent and casual staff (mostly students). I worked my way from administrator to Advisor and Assistant Manager. My favourite part is that no 2 days were the same in HR.

I was involved in every aspect of HR from recruitment through to retirement (when that was still a thing).

What I’ve worked on so far

I have been learning lots of new systems, getting to know the wonderful team here who have made me so welcome.

This week I will be working on contracts, handbook reviews and new policies for clients.

What I am looking forward to

I am looking forward to meeting our clients and helping them make the most of the people within their business.

People are the greatest asset in any company so I’m also looking forward to getting to know my own colleagues and learn from shared experiences.

We’re delighted Ann has joined us and she looks forward to meeting you all very soon! You can find out more about our HR experts on our website now.
