The HR Booth join forces with Stirling Wanderers

Stirling Wanderers 3XI play in the East District Development Hockey League. With the goal of simply making it through the season, the team not only did that but exceeded all expectations by thriving in a difficult league. They finished the season in 4th place, winning 10 of their 17 games, scoring 52 goals and only conceding 20.

You might be wondering – have we uploaded this to the wrong website?

Not at all.

One of our HR Consultants, Sharon, is the team captain. Sharon led the Wanderers throughout this season. Originally starting off as a development phase, the team soon discovered their competitive streak, putting in a number of strong performances, including an 8-1 thrashing over local rivals Stirling University!

It is great to see women of many different backgrounds and level of experience, with ages ranging from 13 to 60, all coming together with a common goal.

We were so impressed by Sharon and the teams’ achievement that we decided to sponsor the team, enabling them to get some lovely trophies for their annual end of season awards – a night where all players were recognised for their contribution.

It is pleasing for us to see one of our own thrive outside the workplace and take part in something that they genuinely enjoy. Not only that, but we are seeing a direct correlation to this in the workplace, as Sharon continues to provide a top standard service to our clients. We are proud to support Sharon and the team with this.
